Annie Brooke Sutton was born at Clunie Farm in 1875 the only daughter to be born to John and Eliza.

Annie departed this life on 1 July 1896 aged 21 years and is buried in the family plot in Bidston Parish Church.

The most intriguing fact about Annie is her name. It is clear that she was not named after anyone one related to the Sutton's. My researches into Eliza has revealed no obvious links between the names Craine and Brooke, but who ever 'Annie Brook' was she had a lasting impact on Eliza's life.
